New Versus Refurbished Versus Used
KUKA’s used-robot market generally separates into three condition categories. New units have never been run in production. Used units are sold largely as removed from service, with condition disclosed but no mechanical rework performed. Refurbished units have gone through an inspection and rebuild process intended to reset wear items before resale.

- A current backup of programs, tool data, and base frames taken before any further testing
